Happy “Frozen” Turkey Day Tomorrow?

November 24, 2010 by Andrea Kimes Leave a Comment

3 years ago we decided that we would host Thanksgiving for my side of the family at our house.  We were excited that after a few years in our home and having a dining room we were set to finally be able to have the room to host a family holiday.  My family was set to arrive that morning to help get everything ready so I made sure to allow plenty of time to dethaw the turkey the … [Read more...]

More Snow On The Way

February 24, 2010 by Andrea Kimes Leave a Comment

The initial call was to be on watch from 6am Saturday to 6am Sunday, that has changed from some snow Sat(which we got maybe an inch) to tapering off around lunch time on Sunday.  The track has greatly changed and predicted amounts have gone up and back down but currently it has only really been snowing for about 3 hours and we have about 2 inches total.  At around 1pm it was … [Read more...]

The Snow Has Started

December 19, 2009 by Andrea Kimes Leave a Comment

It is just before 1pm on Saturday December 19th and the snow is just starting to fall.  Even now the snow seems to be falling with a lot more intensity then it normally does.  This isn't a "slow" snowfall, it is definitely falling with a purpose.  Ever since the cold front came in earlier this week the ground has been frozen solid which means that any snow that falls is … [Read more...]
