ABOUT POCONO TALK

Pocono Talk was created in October 2007 by Andrea and Eric Kimes to provide information and insight about the Pocono Mountains.

Often referred to as “The Poconos” the Pocono Mountains are a beautiful place to both live and visit.  Eric has lived in the Poconos since he was a young child and Andrea moved to the area here about 8 years ago.  We both love the Pocono area and enjoy everything it has to offer.

We live and work in the Poconos and own and run our own website design company, WebLeaps.  Whenever we get the chance we try to take advantage of the numerous activities the area has to offer to visit and see new things.   Having 3 small children the Poconos has many great family activities to experience that provide us with information that we then share here.

Through our experiences I hope we are able to provide you with some useful information whether you live here, visit on vacation or are considering moving to the area.

Disclosure:
The FTC requires that a disclosure policy is on every blog that is involved in using their blog to make money.  Although we’d love to be rolling in dough for posting about the Poconos, we make only a few dollars a month off of Google Adsense.  We have recently started to offer onsite advertising spots.  When promoting our advertisers we may mention the businesses, products and people as part of their advertising packages or for compensation of products or services.  We are not going to throw up content just to “make money” by promoting products/businesses/services we don’t believe in.  It is not worth it to us to lose readers due to promoting bad products or services, heck that just makes us look bad.  If we receive “freebies” that we talk about, we will be sure to let you know why we are mentioning these products.  Our goal is to be as open and honest with our readers, although some of our writing may be opinionated we will NEVER write a negative comment/review in order to get compensated (aka Bob hates Joe’s Pizza so he pay us to talk bad about Joe…it would NEVER happen).  When all is said and done rest assured we’re just here to talk about the Poconos and if we can make a couple of bucks to cover the fees associated with having a website that’s a bonus.
