The Ballroom Thieves, Indie-Blues trio, plays acoustic show in Hawley, PA

June 13, 2017 by Pocono Talk Leave a Comment

On Saturday, June 24th at 8:00pm, indie-blues & roots-rock trio, The Ballroom Thieves will perform at Harmony Presents in the Hawley Silk Mill. This is the second to last show Harmony Presents will produce in the Hawley Silk Mill. A future location for concerts and shows is to be announced. “This band has constructed such a magical world, filled with exquisite harmonies, expert cello playing and an unyielding passion. We’ve felt honored to bring quality music to the Hawley Silk Mill regularly over the past seven years. We’re happy to close out the series here with a few incredibly strong acts, and look forward to announcing a new location,” says Jill Carletti, Managing Director of Harmony Presents. “Their songs swell and jerk jauntily, never losing a listener’s attention. With vintage lyrics akin to those of old gospel or protest songs, like “Bury Me Smiling” – the Ballroom Thieves are stealing from the old and making them new. Their most recent album “Deadeye,” takes a somber approach, reflecting on the difficulties of the road, the meaning of ‘home”. This will be The Ballroom Thieves second performance with us at Harmony Presents. Our audience fell head over heels the last time The Ballroom Thieves were with us, and we’re thrilled to be able to have them with us again in an acoustic format,” adds Carletti.

This concert will take place at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating. Tickets are $20 up until the day of the show. On the day of the show, tickets are $25. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at www.harmonypresents.com or in person at AMSkier Insurance Agency located at 209 Main Ave. in Hawley. Online ticket sales end at 5pm on the day of the show, but may still be purchased at the door if available. For more information, or help purchasing tickets, please call Harmony Presents at (570) 588-8077.
