“My favorite thing about music is that it takes you anywhere without going anywhere,” says Managing Director of Harmony Presents, Jill Carletti. She adds, “We’re really excited about this next show on Saturday, Aug 2nd. Sultry, powerful and lilting vocals of beautiful front woman Kari Speiler harmonize above a driving folk-rock sound. It’s truly infectious music and very easy to get into. You simply can’t help but bop your head, tap your toe and dance. Their slower tunes can easily take you on a lazy river ride or on a beach with friends. It’s just great, fun music.” This band, Swear & Shake has performed alongside The Avett Brothers, Levon Helm, Weezer and Edward Sharpe. “Swear and Shake’s music tells folk-tinged stories with an infectious rhythm backing it while Spieler’s soothing and enchanting voice deliciously sits between banjo, harmonica and interlocking melodies,” says Carletti.Tickets for this show are only $12 at the early bird price, which are available up until a week prior to the show. Afterwards, tickets are $15 the week of the show and then $18 at the door. The show begins at 7:30pm.
Harmony Presents concerts take place in the historic Boiler Room of the Hawley Silk Mill located on the ground floor at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley and audiences are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating. Cocoon Coffee House caters snacks, coffee, wine and beer on site prior to the shows and during intermission.
