On Saturday, July 4th at 6:30pm, Retro-Pop, Barbershop, Chamber-Rock quartet, Darlingside will perform at Harmony Presents in the Hawley Silk Mill. The Boston Herald has stated, “Darlingside are doing something new in pop music […] ground the Beach Boys, Beatles, Joni Mitchell, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, Talking Heads, Prince, Phish and Radiohead didn’t cover.” Managing Director of Harmony Presents, Jill Carletti exclaims, “This show will please everyone! We’ve scheduled this show earlier, so you can see the fireworks after the show, even though you’re likely to experience plenty of crackling energy just by seeing Darlingside perform.” With four distinct voices clustered around a single microphone, Darlingside effortlessly draw audiences into their lush musical world. David Fricke of Rolling Stone describes them as ‘a quartet with a rich line in acoustic textures and chamber-rock dynamics.’ The band’s sound, characterized by classical strings, tight vocal arrangements, bluegrass and rock instrumentation, and smart lyricism, is the product of complete collaboration among the four close friends. This concert will take place at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating. Tickets are $20 the week prior to the show and $23 from noon until 5pm on the day of the show. Online ticket sales end at 5pm on the day of the show, but may still be purchased at the door if available.
