Pinebrook Day Camp Gears Up for 2022

January 25, 2022 by Pocono Talk Leave a Comment

Where can kids spend every day outdoors in the summer—yet get to sleep in their own beds at night? Among the many quality sleepover camps in the Pocono Mountains, Pinebrook Day Camp is such a place.

In 2021, with banner first-year success, the program struck a chord with area families, with 68 families registering and 40-45 campers participating every day. Day Camp 2022 is set to begin June 15 for ages 5-15, with hopes for even more participants.

Pinebrook Day Camp: Quick Facts

Flexible Camp Schedules for Busy Families

Pinebrook’s program is flexible, so parents can plan camp around their work or vacations, whether for a day here and there or a full summer of daily camp (10-11 weeks). Parents can have the confidence of knowing their children are in a safe, nurturing environment with caring, attentive people. They can anticipate positive changes in their children as they grow socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Their children will spend most hours of the day outdoors “fasting” from technology.

As the kids take part in clean, wholesome fun, and exciting outdoor adventures, counselors guide them toward positive character traits and recognizing their value in the family, community, and world from a biblical perspective.

While Pinebrook Day Camp is gearing up for its second summer, its sister location Spruce Lake Day Camp, will enter its 11th year of serving the community, which also begins its season on June 15.

What Parents Think

“Thank you for a great summer! My son had an amazing time,” said one parent, whose comments reflect those of many. “We love the atmosphere and the family feeling and the kind people.”

“Thank you for providing such a wonderful experience for my son,” said another. “We are relocating, but he continues to talk about Day Camp and how much fun he had….it has been a wonderful experience that all kids should get a chance to enjoy.”

Pinebrook Day Camp Location

Spruce Lake and Pinebrook Day Camps are part of the same ministry, Spruce Lake Retreat, located in northern Monroe County. The northern campus, Spruce Lake, is tucked among pristine hills between Skytop and Buck Hill, along Route 447 North.

Both Spruce Lake and Pinebrook welcome guest groups, families, and individuals year-round. Spruce Lake also offers summer overnight camps, Christian outdoor education, and retreat programs for adults and families — all offering heartfelt hospitality in the name of Christ.
