This late September, “Paint Your Pet” party fundraisers for the Dessin Animal Shelter will take place in Hawley and Honesdale. Pet portrait artist, painter and art instructor, Jill Carletti will guide participants in painting their own pet portraits. Carletti will draw pets onto canvas for participants prior to the paint parties, and then give individual instruction to each participant. “I’ve conducted dozens of ‘Paint Your Pet’ nights, and I’ve always wanted to do a fundraiser for Dessin Animal Shelter. Every animal deserves to be loved, and Dessin works to accomplish exactly this, by placing animals with loving families. It makes perfect sense to raise funds for Dessin through creating beautiful artwork of our closest, furriest family-members,’ says Carletti.
Paint Your Pet fundraisers for Dessin Animal Shelter will take place on Wednesday, September 26th at Vanderbeek Farm & Equestrian Center, Hawley, PA from 6:30 until 9:30 pm and on Friday, September 28th at The Cooperage Project from 6:30 until 9:30. It is only $48-$58 to register, depending on canvas size chosen, and all supplies are provided. Participants may bring their own beverage or snacks.
