On Friday, February 17th, Harmony Presents showcases return performer, Matt Nakoa. “Every single time Matt Nakoa plays a Harmony Presents show, our audience leaves totally thrilled and mystified. He’s easily a Harmony Presents favorite,” says Managing Director of Harmony Presents, Jill Carletti. “His music weaves together the very relatable elements of folk and pop music with incredible sweeping, cinematic, opus-like musical mastery. Matt Nakoa is an internationally touring singer/songwriter, having played at the White House and throughout India. He became a star performer at Manhattan’s famous Brandy’s Piano Bar, producing long lines out the door every Saturday night and he’s become a favored special guest in Tom Rush’s shows. His songwriting has garnered prestigious awards, including a win at Kerrville Folk Festival’s New Folk Competition. As a recent Boston Globe interview put it, ‘Matt Nakoa is one of those well kept secrets you just can’t help but celebrate: intimate and genuine, soulful and bittersweet, a rich poetic songbook sung in praise to a complicated, emotionally present world.’ Matt Nakoa, never, ever disappoints. The show takes place at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA, in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill. Doors are at 7:45pm and the show begins at 8pm. Tickets may be purchased online at www.harmonypresents.com or by calling (570) 588-8077. Tickets are available for the advance price of $19 up until midnight before the show. After this, tickets are available for $22 until sold out. Tickets may be purchased in person at AMSkier Insurance located at 209 Main Avenue in Hawley, PA. Wine, beer and snacks are available for purchase from Cocoon Catering on site at the shows. Seating is set up cabaret style with small, candle-lit tables and admission is general. Purchasing tickets in advance secures a seat at the show.
