Kalahari Resorts and Conventions to Reopen June 19 in Pocono Mountains

June 19, 2020 by Pocono Talk Leave a Comment

Summer Special Offer Celebrates Return to Safe Family Fun

Pocono Manor, Penn., (June 12, 2020) – Kalahari Resorts and Conventions, the ultimate family destination with something fun for every age, will reopen for guests on Friday, June 19. Located in the scenic natural recreation area of the Pocono Mountains, the resort is a close-to-home getaway option for many east coast metros and features outdoor activity options including an Outdoor Waterpark with a children’s water play area, pool and stand-alone bungalows and Gorilla Grove Treetop Adventures with ropes courses, zip lining and mini golf.

To celebrate the reopening, Kalahari is offering 20% off summer stays. Guests will receive up to 20% off overnights between June 19 and September 6, 2020. For full offer details and to book, visit KalahariResorts.com.

“We want to offer a safe place for families to come together and focus on the fun instead of the worry,” said Travis Nelson, spokesperson, Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. “When you’re ready for a getaway, Kalahari will be open with a vacation experience guests can feel good about.”
The Kalahari Commitment to Clean & The Pocono Promise

As a family-run business, Kalahari Resorts works hard to do what is best for both guests and associates and has taken many steps to ensure a safe resort, including associate wellness initiatives, enhanced sanitation measures using hospital-grade disinfectants and operational changes that allow for social distancing and minimized contact. The resort will follow expert reopening guidance and policies from state and local public health authorities, including the Process to Reopen Pennsylvania. As more information becomes available, Kalahari will continue to make adjustments to support best practices for the safety and well-being of guests and associates. For full details on the resort’s approach to a safe getaway, visit www.kalahariresorts.com/safety.

Kalahari also joins the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau and more than 150 area businesses in a commitment to the Pocono Promise to follow reopening guidelines that protect residents, employees and customers. Guidelines include aggressive cleaning protocols, health surveys for staff before starting their shift, special training, and using personal protective equipment when possible.

“The Pocono Promise is an important commitment that area businesses will do everything possible to keep communities and the local economy healthy,” said Chris Barrett, president and CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau.
