On Saturday, Nov 7 at 8pm, Harmony Presents will showcase Gracie and Rachel. “This orchestral pop piano-violin duo, crafts intricate tunes combining classical string elements with haunting, fierce vocals, augmented by sparse but powerful percussion. The duo finds beauty in stark simplicity, pausing to breathe a hint of the abstract into the highly emotive, evolved body they create. Kate Havnevik, Regina Spektor, Sia, Tegan and Sara, and Frou Frou all come to mind when listening to Gracie and Rachel but they definitely have their own stylish sound,” says Jill Carletti, Managing Director of Harmony Presents.
“Their forthcoming debut album GO, is a penetrating record about self-exploration, which flows freely between virtuosic violin textures to sylphlike melodies, highlighting seasoned songwriting. The result: a heartfelt glimpse into two artists lives intertwined. Harmony Presents makes showcasing emerging gems in the music scene a priority. This duo is no exception. The show takes place in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill located at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Cocoon Catering Company caters wine, beer and light snacks on site for all shows. Currently, a couple Early Bird tickets are available exclusively online for $15. A limited amount of Advance Tickets for $16 are available for 30 ticket buyers and General Admission Tickets will be available for $20 after both Early Bird and Advance Ticket sales have sold out or ended.
