On Friday, January 27th the Fairview Café in Tafton, PA will host their first dinner and paint party event. “We’re excited to host this paint night and we hope to have many more like it. Music and art are both creative expressions that pair very well with locally sourced foods and a top-notch dining experience. We have live music here often, but this will be our first paint party. We’re thrilled to bring something different to our restaurant. Our vision is to bring more entertainment, culture and exciting events like this paint party to our establishment,” says Donald Strackbein, Manger and Owner of the Fairview Café. Participants will be able to choose from the following dinner options: Alaskan salmon with sundried tomato, spinach, and feta, Filet Mignon with potato and vegetable or Seared Chicken cutlet with sweet potato medallions. Appetizers are also included and participants are encouraged to bring their beverage of choice.
The paint night will be taught by local artist and art instructor, Jill Carletti. The painting for the evening is of a red-orange bird against a background of spring foliage called Little Birds Promise. “Painting and instructing paint parties are among my top favorite things to do. I felt that this painting of a bird was fitting for this time of year. If little birds can get through the rest of this winter, so can we,” says Jill Carletti, the art instructor for this paint party. “I love that every single person walks out of the experience with something they created and a fun memory. They also get to learn a bit about painting and painting techniques, but it’s all done in such a relaxed environment that learning doesn’t feel hard. The paint parties I instruct are great for all levels and are fun to come to solo or with friends,” adds Carletti.
The paint night starts off with dinner at 6pm followed by the paint party at 7pm. Registration is $55 and includes the cost of dinner, appetizer and all supplies for the paint party.
