Blue Mountain Resort Family Camp Experiences

Camping and Glamping Season Opens May 1, and Kids’ Summer Day and Overnight Adventure Camp Begins in June

PALMERTON, Penn. – Blue Mountain Resort introduces its new Family Camp all-inclusive four- or six-day getaway experiences from July 3 to 6 and July 3 to 8, respectively. Packed with adventure and plenty of relaxing time, these packages for four people are a memorable way to celebrate July 4th vacation days. Each “family” group will have their own private, fully-equipped canvas tent and be able to enjoy the myriad of exhilarating, outdoor activities that are so exciting and popular at Blue Mountain Resort, as well as spectacular fireworks viewing from this idyllic mountain setting. Starting in June, kids can attend overnight or daytime Adventure Camp throughout the summer season for as many weeks as they want.

Along with all the camping experiences, Blue Mountain offers outdoor enthusiasts seeking challenges, thrills, mountain air exercise and good times all kinds of activities throughout the warmer seasons. Starting Sunday, May 1, and continuing through October, Blue Mountain’s camping and glamping for “fancy” or more “rugged” outdoor vacation living opens for the season. The resort’s world class bike park opens to season passholders on Saturday, May 14, and is open to the public starting Saturday, May 21, and its Summit Adventure Park with all it offers also opens on Saturday, May 14.

The new Blue Mountain Family Camp experiences have been created to offer family bonding and memory building with a selection of outdoor activities that will appeal to all ages. They are all-inclusive for four, and up to six additional people can be added to each family. Children under the age of four are free.

Each family group has its own private canvas tent equipped with five bunk beds (10 mattresses). Bath houses, showers and basic facilities are provided near the tents. Activities include ziplining, high ropes course, hiking, fishing, biking, laser tag, yoga, team sports, paddle boarding, kayaking, music events, campfire activities, fireworks viewing and more.

Four-Day Family Camp, Sunday, July 3, to Wednesday, July 6, includes dinner on Sunday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Monday and Tuesday; breakfast and lunch on Wednesday; four days of Blue Mountain activities; and private canvas tent.

Family Package (includes four people) for $1,999. Each additional person (up to six people) is $499.75.

Six-Day Family Camp, Sunday, July 3, to Friday, July 8, includes dinner on Sunday; breakfast, lunch and dinner on Monday through Thursday; breakfast on Friday; lunch on the Lehigh River; six days of Blue Mountain activities, including white water rafting trip on the Lehigh River; and private canvas tent for the family.

Family Package (includes four people) for $2,999. Each additional person (up to six people) is $749.50.

Seasonal Camping and Glamping at Blue Mountain Resort
Opening on Sunday, May 1, through October

Blue Mountain offers both camping and glamping opportunities – either outdoor mountain lovers and camping enthusiasts can bring their own gear and “rough it” a little bit, or they can arrange a Basic Glamping or Deluxe Glamping experience, both offering a 10 x 12-foot canvas tent, bunk beds with full-sized mattresses, a solar light, wooden deck with Adirondack chairs, picnic table, Coleman cooler and more. Special amenities for Deluxe Glamping include queen-sized bunk beds, charging station, solar shower, fire ring with a grate, and food packages can be ordered and delivered from Slopeside Pub & Grill. The sites are perfect for families and pets.

Basic glamping sites start at $169 per night, and deluxe glamping sites start at $229 per night.

Summer Adventure Camp
Featuring overnight and day camp experiences, children five to 15 can take part in outdoor adventure packed camp sessions, including a bike camp option new this year. Created by outdoor certified professionals, camp activities are designed for exploration, discovery learning and fun. Through guidance and positive encouragement, campers are motivated to face challenges that build confidence, enhance leadership abilities and create long lasting memories.

During day camp, kids can participate in a high ropes courses, hiking, zip lining, outdoor laser tag, climbing walls and rappelling, archery, gaga ball, team building activities, BMX pump track riding, stand-up paddle boarding, arts and crafts, animal and plant ID and more. Overnight kids get to experience the same experiences plus night-time adventures like evening hikes, stargazing, campfires and the excitement of sleeping in a group tent.

Overnight camp for kids aged 10 to 15 is $899/five nights and begins June 19 – all meals are provided; day camp for ages five to 15 is $499/five days and begins June 20 – lunch and snacks are provided.
