On Saturday, July 12, one of northeast PA’s most loved performers, Wade Preston, Billy Joel’s back-up returns for two shows in one night at Harmony Presents in the underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill. It’s not often a man can sit in front of a piano and command full attention. Wade Preston’s dexterity alone is enough to drop a stadium full of jaws, but you don’t need to go to a stadium to experience the awe. The underground theater of the Hawley Silk Mill is an intimate space where the beauty of live performance shines. Embodying enough blazing talent to ignite the stage solo, this excellent musician and performer is best known for his role as the piano man in Billy Joel’s Broadway hit Movin’ Out. He is an original cast member doing the full 3 1/2 year run on Broadway and often guested on both tours. When rehearsals of the Billy Joel band are required, Billy hires Wade as his stand in.
Show times are at 7:00pm and at 9:30pm. These concerts will take place at 8 Silk Mill Drive in Hawley, PA. Audiences are encouraged to arrive early for preferred seating.
